OTHER VOLUNTEERS COMMENTS AND VIEWS.

Big hugs, toothless smiles, bright coffee-nut eyes beaming "love." Their struggles are many... poverty, disabilities, orphanage, and even homelessness. But you can make a lasting difference in these young lives. Mind Volunteers works with vulnerable infants and youth countrywide. You can care for orphaned and other disadvantaged, some who have been abandoned, and "at-risk" teens. Often no special skills are required, as volunteers are needed to listen to, play, read, and exercise and share time with the children. These are great opportunities for Teens can work in some communities and schools with toddlers and young children.

The need is expansive, and long-term, so your opportunity to make a significant difference through service is likewise immeasurable.

"These children are going to grow up to be the teachers and governors and the police of their country. They're going to live in and have an impact on the same world my grandchildren will live in. I want that world to be a good world. One may consider keeping that side and send the money he would use on trip to and from his or her motherland, but, that is not enough since your physical presence has a great impact down to the children who are helped most. I don't think children would keep their memories most when you are away. But I do think that the kids you will work with will remember for the rest of their lives that they were hugged."
